I had a dream this winter of finding a perfect frozen lake to ice skate on. I love it when this happens, but it's not every year the weather conditions align so that you get good skating ice. A few weeks ago I was so thrilled when I almost accidentally stumbled on to the perfect frozen lake in Gothenburg! I got to skate there, it was such a beautiful experience. This day, together with the soft pastel skies we've had in Oslo lately, inspired this painting. I hope you'll also feel this harmonious feeling of a beautiful winter day that I've tried to capture in this painitng.
